John McKee Solicitors, a Top 10 Northern Irish law firm, has been appointed as the country’s law firm member for Alliott Group, an international alliance of independent law and accounting firms with some 170 member firms in approximately 70 countries worldwide.
A positive impression of a dynamic alliance
We are an established, ambitious and growing firm with already significant involvement in the international market. Affiliation with an international group had been on our radar for some time. Having met Alliott Group representatives at International Bar Association conferences over the last couple of years, we were impressed by not only the dynamic and progressive approach of the alliance, but also the strong bonds and levels of trust and friendship that exist between members. We have not seen this in other international groups and therefore wanted to join this dynamic network.
Ross adds:
“We aim to strengthen our corporate services practice and grow our international client base significantly in the next few years. We see huge benefit for the firm in being a member of an international alliance and are on standby to serve Alliott Group member firms’ clients involved in the Northern Irish economy. Likewise, we look forward to referring banking and corporate clients who will need advice and representation from lawyers and accountants in other jurisdictions throughout the world. Northern Ireland is a significant base for FDI and our local government is proactively engaged in growing the Northern Ireland legal services market internationally. This approach ties in well with Alliott Group and our own growth objectives.”
Alliott Group CEO comments: “We have been talking to John McKee Solicitors for some time about membership. When expanding the alliance into new geographic territories, it is important to take the time to appoint not only a firm that can provide the right level and scope of service, but also one that has the right personalities with the requisite proactive mind-set. John McKee ticks all the boxes and will prove to be an excellent addition to our group.”
