In a strategic move that marks a significant milestone in its growth trajectory, Ethiopia’s DABLO Law Firm has joined Alliott Global Alliance (AGA). The team spoke to Africa Legal about the many benefits this partnership will bring.
This partnership is set to propel the firm onto the international legal stage, enhancing its service offerings and extending its global reach.
Dawit Kidane, principal managing partner of DABLO Law Firm LLP, sees a great symbiotic relationship ahead for his firm and Alliott Global Alliance (AGA), a Band 1 Law Firm Network as ranked by Chambers and Partners.
“AGA is a prestigious alliance with a strong reputation and credibility internationally. We’re confident in the alliance’s unparalleled network of diverse professional minds, and hope to leverage its global platform and cross-border referral network to catapult our firm onto the international stage. We also envisage that our expertise and services will enrich AGA’s offerings."
The firm’s commitment to excellence and its ambition to broaden its service spectrum align perfectly with AGA’s global presence. Bruk Geremew, deputy managing partner of DABLO, highlighted the benefits to clients, saying,
"The collaborative exchange of knowledge and best practices with members of the alliance will empower us to consistently improve our efficiency and deliver exceptional legal services to our clients. We believe AGA’s network will also give our clients access to a vast pool of legal expertise across diverse jurisdictions that extend beyond Ethiopia."
This alliance is not just about expanding DABLO’s footprint, but also about enriching its internal capabilities. Deputy managing partner Addisu Hailegebriel emphasised the importance of collaborative projects and knowledge exchange, noting,
"We are eager to learn from the rich professional experiences within the alliance, a journey that will inevitably elevate our service standards. In return, we offer our dedication to delivering exceptional legal services to clients seeking our expertise and local knowledge through the network. We envision collaborating on projects with other members to offer innovative solutions to regional and global challenges."
There’s no doubt that this alliance is a big step forward for DABLO.
“AGA’s expansive network of over 300 offices in 100 countries presents a unique opportunity to connect with potential clients seeking legal solutions within Ethiopia,” explained Kidane. “We plan to strategically engage with members whose future clients may require our expertise, establishing DABLO Law Firm as a trusted resource for cross-border legal needs, and expanding our client base across national, regional and international markets."
"As experts in the Ethiopian legal system, we are eager to collaborate with alliance members and shed light on the nuances of our legal landscape, especially within commercial, corporate, and real estate practice,” Geremew added. “We also aim to actively contribute to AGA’s knowledge repository.”
Alliott Global Alliance CEO, Giles Brake, is equally as enthusiastic about the alliance’s new member.
“We are excited to start 2024 by welcoming the experienced team at DABLO Law Firm to our global alliance,” he said. “This dynamic, fast-growing firm will now represent the alliance in another important African jurisdiction. With AGA’s global reach, brand and resources behind them, DABLO Law Firm can now offer clients service of a uniformly high standard across nearly 100 countries. And, as the sole representative law member in Ethiopia, the firm is extremely well positioned to grow its national, regional and international client base.”
DABLO Law Firm’s partnership with AGA signifies a new era of growth and international collaboration, promising enhanced legal services and a broader global presence. With this strategic alliance, Dablo Law is well-positioned to offer unparalleled legal solutions, not just in Ethiopia, but also across the globe.
