Biography

Lex Thielen graduated from the University of Paris Sorbonne in 1985. After his law degree, he continued with a specialized study in contract and tort law (D.E.A in private law) which he finished with distinction. He was a lecturer at the Sorbonne from 1986 to 1988. He was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in February 1987 and opened his own law firm in 1991. After defending several individuals in highly publicised white collar crime trials, he decided to focus on commercial and financial law, and later also real estate and tax structures through Luxembourg. Recently he published a book on real estate law (Les professionnels de l''immobilier en droit luxembourgeois, Ed. Larcier 2010).
